Levels of Play
Scout Program: Competition and Training
The Iowa Sticks Scout program will consist of the top players in their respective age groups.
Players in this program have shown abilities currently and, in the past, to play at the collegiate level. Players invited for this team have been referred by Sticks staff, additional trusted sources and/or have gone through try-outs and performed exceptionally.
Scout teams will be regional and/or national in nature and experiences may vary depending on the skills/positions of the player and the level of tournament. Potentially, multiple teams from an age group may be formed to provide the best possible fit for players. As a rule, team formation will depend highly on how many players opt-ins for a particular tournament.
Being selected for the scout program does not mean you will be selected to attend all events.
Red Program: Competition and Training
The Iowa Sticks Red Program will consist of skilled, experienced players focused on development and preparing for exposure opportunities.
Players in the Red Program have shown the ability to compete at the HS level and develop into college level players.
Teams will be competing on the local and/or regional level. Teams will be formed from within their age group: 18u or 16u.
Spects National:
Players that are members of the Iowa Sticks Baseball Club will have the potential to be invited to the Spects National Team.
The Spects National Team is a limited group comprised of players from the Iowa Sticks, Nebraska Prospects, Minnesota Icemen, The Arkansas Prospects, Gator Baseball Academy and Minnesota Expos.
